Highlights

The Best Of Iceland

The Best Of Iceland

Over a week, we'll explore all the best spots. You'll visit the most incredible waterfalls. One more majestic than the other. You'll see waterfalls of all types, heights and from all angles! Most of them are just by the road for easy access. The best way to explore Iceland is by camper van.

Trail Running Adventures

Trail Running Adventures

Most days, you have the option to join a guided trail running adventure (5km-17km) exploring Iceland's most epic spots. You'll run the very finest hand-picked trails all around Iceland. We run at a relaxed social pace, with plenty of stops. Joining the runs is optional, feel free to explore at your own pace or do your own thing. Re-join the group in the hot springs or at the campsite.

Glaciers

Glaciers

Iceland has the biggest glacier in Europe. Along the road you'll see ice bergs floating by on lagoons and the big glacier tongues coming down from the mountains. If you want to get up really close, we can connect you with a local guide to take you on a day trip right into the heart of a glacier!

Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures

Trail running, hiking, wild swimming, & outdoor yoga in the Icelandic wilderness. We'll show you the best spots. Join the group or explore a spot on your own for part or all of the day before re-grouping with us later, it's up to you.

Hot Springs & Wild Swims

Hot Springs & Wild Swims

Iceland is gifted with incredible wild swim spots & geothermal heat. Together they make hot springs. Some are next to the road, others well hidden and less known. We will take you to the best ones! Every day we will visit a new hot spring :)

BBQ & Bonfires

BBQ & Bonfires

At night, we gather up around the camp fire and share stories about the day. All the campsites are booked by us, so your trip is totally hassle free.

Vanlife

Vanlife

Experience the freedom of living the #vanlife. You've got your mobile home, bed and kitchen with you anywhere you go :) In Iceland, the best trails and spots to visit are all over the place, so the best way to explore is by camper van.

FAQs

Book flights to Reykjavik International airport (KEF).

As of the 20th July 2021, Iceland is open for all travellers. You'll need to present a certificate of full vaccination or of previous Covid-19 infection, you do not have to quarantine. All other travellers must quarantine for 6 days and undergo two tests.

Full info and latest updates about Iceland travel restrictions can be found here.

Your ticket is fully refundable up until 14 days before departure. Just let us know if you can't travel for any reason and we will refund you 100%.

If Iceland close the borders or lock down the society we will postpone the trip and refund 100% of what you have paid.

We'd recommend to fit 2 people in the medium van or up to 4 in the big van. The medium van can easily fit 3 good friends but bear in mind you are all sharing the same bed (although it is large at 160cm wide!)

If you want maximum space and comfort then pick the big van for two people, this one is high enough to stand up straight inside and the top bed can be used for baggage if it’s only two of you.

The small van is very small, think of it as a tent on wheels. We recommend to get this one only if you are on a tight budget but still really want to come. It lacks a lot of the comfort the bigger options have :)

We will stay at a camp site every night which have showers and toilets. By law in Iceland it is forbidden to over night outside of camp sites in a camper van.

We will recommend a route and host activities every day. You are free to choose which ones you want to join and which ones not to attend. Every day you are free to drive your own route and make detours as you like.

During your week in Iceland, an estimate for what you'll spend is something like this:

  • Fuel - €180 per van
  • Food - If you buy food in supermarket and cook in the van, estimate around €100/person for the week.
  • Dinner at a restaurant - From €30pp incl one drink.
  • Extra activities - These cost usually €60-90 depending on what you choose to do. They are all optional but come highly recommended to try at least some.
  • Drinks - We'll be spending most of our evenings at the camp site. We recommend to pick up alcoholic drinks in the airport before you enter Iceland. A beer at a bar is about €8 and a cocktail €15.
