Overview

A 2-night camping weekend in the Gower Peninsula curated & hosted by the Love Trails team. Expect a laid back weekend filled with trail running adventures, wild swimming, conversations around the bonfire, live music & inspiration. Join in with guided trail runs, or take your own path with help from our custom made local trail & adventure map you'll receive on arrival. According to British anthropologist Robin Dunbar, the “magic number” for social groups is 150. So this is how we've capped numbers for these micro-festivals of trail running, adventure & music. This event has been Covid-19 risk assessed, is 100% outdoor and you'll have plenty of space. Please note this event is subject to government regulations at the time the event takes place. If the event is cancelled due to Covid-19 (or any other reason) you will receive a full cash refund (less 5% Booking Fees) Got questions? Email us at hello@lovetrails.com

"The intimate vibe was different from the larger, annual event in the Gower, but still the same positive energy throughout. Thanks so much for such a great weekend, and hope to see you on the trails again soon."

You'll Be Staying Here

Weobley Castle

Weobley Castle

Love Trails On Tour Gower Peninsula brings you to one of the most beautiful hidden gems in the whole of Wales. We'll be camping right next to Weobley Castle, a 14th Century ruin overlooking Llanrhidian saltmarshes and the Loughor estuary. You'll have hot showers, toilets, and be just a short run away from traditional Welsh pubs.

FAQs

If this Love Trails On Tour can't go ahead due to Covid-19, we are able to commit to giving you a full cash refund (less 5% Booking Fees)

Love Trails On Tour Gower Peninsula will take place at Weobley Castle, West Castle Farm, Gower Peninsula

By Car

If travelling by car, please follow signs for Weobley Castle, and then the event signage put out for your direction. Don't use the postcode, as this will take you to a different location.

By Train

Arriving by train is the easiest and most environmentally friendly choice, so please consider this first when planning your journey. Swansea Station is the closest largest station. Trains run direct from London Paddington in three hours and from Cardiff in under one hour. For journey times and routes please visit www.gwr.com. Gowerton Station is also close to the festival site, and an 11 minute train from Swansea, with trains running every 20 minutes.

Local Taxi

From Gowerton Station or Swansea Station, you can easily take a taxi to the site. The journey time from Swansea is approximately 35 minutes and costs around £25, so it's worth filling the seats.

Free parking is available to all Love Trails guests in the same field as our camping field. For safety reasons, we cannot allow cars to park next to tents, but you don't need to walk far with your stuff at all!

You'll need to bring enough food for the weekend, or you can make a trip to one of the several local pubs close by.  In typical Love Trails On Tour format, we will be organising for a local food pop up on Saturday night, and details of this will be available early 2021.

This is not an exhaustive kit list, but we would recommend bringing the following with you on the weekend;

- Camping gear including tent, roll matt and sleeping bag - Towel & washkit - Small camping stove if you wish to make your own breakfast / dinners - Trail running shoes - A running pack / rucksack / race vest - Full waterproofs (you never know!) - Yoga matt / towel - Map of the local area and/or navigation device

If the weekend is cancelled by us for any reason (including but not limited to Covid--19 ie government imposed restrictions that mean the event can't legally go ahead), you will have the option to receive a full cash refund.

You can pitch up at the campsite any time from 3pm on the Friday. But you can also join on the Saturday if that is easier.

Absolutely! We're a super friendly bunch of runners and always want to welcome people coming on their own. Due to the Government rules and restrictions, we aren't organising any official 'Guided Trail Runs' like you would usually see at Love Trails, but there will always be someone from the Love Trails team around and we are more than happy to help with routes and trail running. I will also be doing a map reading 'Drop In' on Saturday morning for any questions or queries about the routes.

Yes! However your dog will need to remain on it's lead in the campsite at all times.

Please email us hello@lovetrails.com and we'll be happy to help
